Thanks guys for all of your knowledge and advice. From direct assistance with answering my questions to having this great resource from others with similar issues this forum has been great. Unfortunately my 88 Trooper has been diagnosed with a dead cylinder <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" /> $2500 to fix = just not worth it!

I checked some forums and replies and will take the advice of those who are more mechanically inclined and experienced than I, run til its done.

It has been a great daily driver for the past 3 1/2 years never got a chance to get it muddy!!!

Put a new non-aluminum head on 60,000 miles ago, had the fuel sending unit and pump change along with 2 inches of sludge removed form the gas tank! Brand new windshield too!!!!! [color:"red"] [/color]
Took it on some long road trips and the family loves it but alas... all good things come to an end. 30psi on cylinder 3!!! SO I guess I'll drive her til she leaves me walking!

Thanks again guys a really appreciate all of your advice. I had big dreams too: tires, lift, on board air, body damage........
