My buddy had a 62 valiant with a 170 slant 6, and it was already a fuel sipper of a car for a 60's beast. Stupid thing had reverse lugs on the passenger side!! anyway.... His dad had a vacuum gauge hooked up, and magneted to the dash, and it was always a game to keep the vacuum gauge pegged to max to burn the least amount of fuel.
