Just to confirm, this is what I did:

1. Pull carpeting back
2. Remove access plate
3. disconnect electrical harness on big access plate
4. Remove small nuts from said plate (maybe six or eight of them)
5. Without disconnecting the two fuel lines, pulled entire unit out about 4 inches or so (I could see the gasoline/liquid), looked into the hole with a light and I could see a 2" or so rubber hose in the middle, below which was a mental attachment I believe

Anyway, this is the hose I looked at and it was wet and looked new to me...as in not worn out. Obviously the car was not running and the fuel tank had released all the pressure when I lifted the top plate.

So are we talking about the same item?
