Howdy, all. I'm rebuilding a 5-speed from my 88 Monty, but I can't seem to find a source for the front sealed bearing. I've seen bearing kits, but they are sans the front bearing. It's 80mm OD x 35mm ID. It's an NTN, but I can't even seem to locate it on the NTN site. The other bearings seem okay, so I don't think I want a whole kit. Thanks for any help.

Did you try looking it up on the Mitsu ASA program?

No - I don't know what that is.. Check the FAQ's for it. Mitsu ASA is the program dealers use to look up parts/part numbers. Runs on Windows. Downloadable online. Again check the FAQ for links. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" />

Thanks, guys. I'll get one from Rockauto. Does anyone know of any quality differences between Timken and National bearings? The National costs more, but I can't believe Timken would be inferior...

check and see where both are made. I;'ve seen timken selling seals made overseas. I'm not sure about their bearings.l I figure anything from japan or the states should be solid.
