This guy has 33x12.5's on a sporty with 3" body and 2.5" suspension. Has any one else fit 33's on their sporty? 33" Sporty

My opinion:
From the photos on the website I was unable to see where the axles will be able to have any articulation.
It doesn't look like it can do any offroading at all. I think if he took a corner with any speed the body would roll over onto the tire and stop that wheel from turning.
Needs way more lift to handle those tires and be able to do any off roading. Engine is too weak.

I have posted pics of mine with 33s here before. I have about 6 inches of lift, the rear of my front wheel well bashed in and I still don't believe I could drive with them let alone wheel with them. The Kia brakes are not strong enough for 33s either.

Ok it looks like he has a 3" body lift and a little more work done the the back of his front wheel well, and by the pics he actualy does wheel it. With the right amount of work it looks like 33s will work, with mine a daily driver, more than 40 miles a day I think I will stick with my 31s for now.

I think I'll probably stick to 31's also, as I commute 50 miles a day. But I could keep the 235's on during the week and have a set of tires for the weekend. Just found a set of rims for $50. Need to find mudders for them.

If you keep the tire narrow enough say a 33x10.50 or even a 33x9.50 on the stock rims you might be able to keep it tucked inside the fender. There is enough room in the rear to fit 33" if you have a 2" or larger lift. The front you will have to do a lot of trimming to keep it from contacting anything during full articulation. Dave was running 32x11.50 when we did our first Moab event. He didn't have his 4" lift built yet, but he had to trim a lot of the fenders to get them to keep from contacting during articulation.

That is what Everet and another guy on here are running. They have the ones with the tread pattern that looks a lot like the Goodyear Wrangler MTRs.

They work really well and are a good price.

Most of the one's I've seen are actually on BFG AT bodies.

I just picked up a set of rims and tires. They are Goodyear Tracker A-T size 10-15LT. It is about a 31x10.5. They are on original jeep cj rims. The tires are a bias ply that were the originals on the cj. They could be from the late 70's or early 80's, but are in great condition. The guy I got them from wanted $150, but ended up just giving them to me for free, with a 9-15LT spare.
