Hi guys, been awhile since I have been here, hopes you all keeping the shiney side up.

Anyway, this motor has had issues for a long time. (always) It never has had the full power a 2.6 should.

From the day of the rebuild when mashing the gas clatters like severe timing issue. I thought possible piston slap, but heck that was years ago and still not blown up. So I'm thinking that the head has been milled enough times to be causing the problems.

The issue is sever now, as I have installed a weber on it, and easing the gas to not have issue is almost impossible.

Pre detonation ping I don't know. I have my call out for an indexing cam sprocket in parts wanted. I'm thinking I cannot get the cam to the right degree, I also used the balance eliminator kit.

I will try premium again, but I do not think it will help. I may try heavier distributer advance springs, but also not sure if my advance will be working proper with the weber and no more electronic feedback carb.

So anybody care to throw out some suggestions? I really hope not piston slap, I would prefer not to use the indexing cam gear, but I think that is the problem.
