Well I did a bit of testing. I did not figure it would be a compression issue, turns out to be kindof low, 130. But this engine, I still cuss the machine shop. every tolerance was barely in limit, and I mean barely.

So I check the advance on the distributer, and it definitely had issues. Turning on the rotor, it would advance but not spring back much.

Swapped distributer, and first test in driveway feels good. When installed also looked to be in a slightly advanced rotor position, not a full tooth or anything maybe 3-5 degrees. I know I put this in before and it never fixed anything LOL, must have been a dual thing, carb dist combo.

Now I just need a throttle return spring and fab air cleaner.
