I have came across a 130 AMP 2004 Dodge intrepid Alternator that the front of the 91 Montero 3.0 Alt will transfer to. The only issue is the 130 Amp intrepid alt is externally regulated. I have read some Dodge/Chrysler forums where they have bypassed the PCM controlled regulator by putting in a old regulator from a 85 dodge ramcharger to control the Alternator. I am just wondering if anybody has ever tried this. It sounds like a good idea if it would work. It would be great to get into a 130 Amp Alt since my 75 barely works when idling and I am wanting to install an electric fan also.
