If you like wet and smelly britches, take a full bore ride in a 223hp miata.

Stop and think. The first Shelby Cobra was built with a 260ci sbf motor, probably not making that much hp. The base 289 (same block) made about 195hp as a 2bbl, 225hp as a hydraulic lifter 4bbl, and in stock ford form, made 271hp on a singel 4bbl and solid lifters. And was quite a bit heavier and less nimble than a miata. The 289 maxed out at about 306hp with 4 weber dcoe 2bbl sidedrafts (the "nest of snakes" intake, cross ram style). There a quite a few 300hp miatas out there with hair dryers on them. If your std. "girly" got hold of one of those, .....
