Shifter position indicator? Think the sender is on the shifter shaft on the pside of the tranny. I think the only other tranny possibilites (this is not the 'lectron shift model, right?) are the reverse light, and the 4wd and lorange light switches on the tcase. Wait, there's a pulse generator on the back side of the front output shaft on the tcase dside rear, too, and the tranny has the o/d electrovalve.
