I was searching ebay for some cheap sportage parts and came accross this... Don't know if its particularly helpful, and they appear to only be small but for anyone looking for some flares, try this: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/4-Fender-Flar...4aab617767#shId
1997 Sportage - Extended forks, Dobinsons 2 inch front lift coils, rear Dobinsons TJ lift coils, GME UHF, $8 bullbar (I love eBay!) 2001 HZJ78 Troopcarrier - 2 inch lift, extended shocks, Ex Mine vehicle. Still has yellow reflective stripe! - GONE 2011 Toyota Aurion - For the wife!

If I were to get fender flares, I'd want to get the ones that look like their bolted onto the body all the way around. I bet the bolts are fake, but still they look good.. No different than those little bolts on the lip of aftermarket wheels, they're plastic and obviously glued on if you look close. The fenders I'm talkin about I've seen them on new Dodge Rams, Toyota Tundras and such.

You're talking about the bushwacker cut-out style. They are bad ass looking. My cherokee will be getting a set of those and a set of 33" M/T's when the 31" m/t's wear out. Those ones on ebay for the sporty aren't worth the price to look like stock flares(unless you're into that ). If mud and money are an issue, can't go wrong with old fashioned garden trimming.
99 Sportage 2Dr, 1.5" body lift, 30x9.50 Cooper M/T's, high lift, CB, custom bumpers, Warn manual hubs, Tom Tom GPS, snorkel. 99 Jeep Cherokee 3" lift, 31" mud terrains

I have those flairs at home for my Kia. I bought them a while ago, never got around to fitting them. Timd75 is right in they dont allow a lot of extra coverage but they may be able to be used as amould to make wider ones. I contacted a company in Australia BOSS that make duraflares. If there was enough interest they would consider looking at hem and make a wider flair. What they would need was a measurement for how wide. Here a couple of photos of the flairs test fitted to my Sporty. ![[Linked Image]](http://i217.photobucket.com/albums/cc190/4runnernomore/Kiaphotos007.jpg) ![[Linked Image]](http://i217.photobucket.com/albums/cc190/4runnernomore/Kiaphotos006.jpg) The funniest thing is they are made in Australia according to the sticker on the back of them and ended up in the US. Cheers, Chris

EGR is the only manufacturer for aftermarket flares for the first gen Sportage.
They need to drop the price and then maybe people with first gen Sportages would consider buying them.
At $300.0 USD, I'm not that interested. At $100 to $125, then I'd be interested.

I bought these for $65.00 about a year and a half ago. Looks like someone thinks they have some gold. Everet

Good thought, but they are all broken.
