I replaced the fan clutch on my '88 and am trying to salvage the old aluminium housing for my melting furnace.

I have the clutch seperated into two halves and can't figure out (short of cutting the housing) how to remove the shaft.

Any ideas? How is the shaft held in there?

EDIT: I've tried using a puller to push the shaft out through the back, but it seemed pretty solid and didn't budge. I also cant find an assembly diagram of the inside of the clutch in any of the FSM's listed here (unless I was looking in the worng place ?)
