So I am feeling like I am missing everyone and some cool events! This past Wednesday I was just a few miles away from a meeting of good folks, and I didn't even know it was happening. That sucks... I guess that's what 60-70 hour work weeks and EMR/EMT type classes will do to someone. That being said, I came up with a solution...

Pot Luck meeting at my new office a week from today (Friday, Sept 2nd for the calendar challenged) at 6:30 to whenever. Come on in, check out the new shop, meet other people into camping, wheeling, boating and much more. I am looking to set up some really cool trips next year too, plus I will be honest, I just want to show off what has kept me away from the trail! I think it's pretty cool! The Hiking Shack I think is going to be offering some deals, my company will be offering some deals, but more importantly, there should be a lot of awesome people to meet and trips to plan. I have all the tools and toys here!

I could also use some help with some things, and with the offer of help comes some really cool perks. More details are on my meetup group posting or my personal facebook page, but feel free to call me too. If you can't make it, I understand. If you would be late, don't let that stop you from dropping on in! I really am sorry I can't come to you, but I will make it worthwhile if you can come to me!

I'm pretty sure he drives the Montero daily, and has put a ton of miles on it since his repair. No known problems.

I'll try to make it next Friday, Dylan.

Motero, JohnnyB's right, I do approximately 40 mile round trip 6 to 7 days a week getting this business up and running and no problems at all. I think since that problem last year I have put approximately 27K on it and I am actually a little afraid I can't get it off when I need to (and I need to, starting to work on getting over-due for the timing belt! ).

I want to point out to Toasty though, there's nothing regular about my schedule! I was up at 4:30 am just to make it out to the river to start my day, and I am debating about whether I should take this Monday off at all or not. If I don't, then it will be next Monday I take off... but as part of my job, I do get to play in the river and invite people over for pot luck and other events... Hehe..

Glad to have you join us Johnny, sorry you can't make it Toasty, I hope some others can though. It should be pretty cool....

I may try to make it out too Dylan. I'd like to start getting more involved in outdoor activities when I finally get my Montero back on the road. Good luck with the event!

We will! And I understand not everyone can make it, particularly since the notice was kind of short. But today I came up with an even bigger question...

Does anyone, coming or not, have a rear hatch handle mechanism? It seems that I am going to go through one per summer no matter what I do, and I haven't found any more 95's in the junk yard recently so I am out of spares. Yes I could order one in from the dealer for $65 (that reminds me, if any of you need anything else, I have a wholesale account with one dealer), but I really don't want to pay that much for a stupid piece of plastic if I can help it.

Dylan, $48.57 plus shipping from Mitsubishiparts.net. P/N is MB669338. Show the quote to your person at your wholesale account and have them get their price right.

If you keep using used parts, you're gonna get the same results, as I'm sure you realize. Plus, new ones are shinier.

That new one is the whole assembly and worth the money, I'll probably never buy another junkyard handle again. I went through that twice before already
