For air, I have a 30 year old Craftsman compressor that was actually a relabeled Devilbis. Nice 220 volt, 3 HP.. Three real HP not the locked rotor 5 hp on 120 volt stuff you on some current units. I'm to sentimental to upgrade it. Besides, it got pretty decent output ( 8.2 SCFM at 90 PSI, 9.7 SCFM at 40 PSI).

I understand completely. Ancient Chinee say extra tanks make up for old compressor. And that's a nice old compressor. I have a machinist who does a lot of rebuilds on that old stuff because you can't replace it with equal anymore. I do like a two stage, tho. I love my old stuff, too - just used to it, I guess. We killed a lot of dragons together...

And the sharkbites will work on a range of tubing; copper, pvc, cpvc, soft tube with a ferrule, even steel tubing. I've used it to join 1/2" copper to 1/2"pvc, just shove and lock.

Since I spent an unsuccessful hour today trying to remove a cut off stub of pressure fuel line from the v6 tank, I'd like to see something like them on the fuel line, along the lines of the ford quick disco's
