Hello all

It's been awhile since I have posted anything.

The vehicle was off the road for almost a year when I turned the Starion engine TBI to MPI. I had some problems with Megasquirt V3.25 with one of the local US help in getting the wiring and base program installation. That did not ever even get the car started once.

I went with HKS F-Con V Pro V3.24 and a Navigator Pro. That was more promising. The Pajero is now churning out 250 bhp at wheels on the dyno. I used a Nissan S20 distributor with some modifications and that gave crank signal. Pajero started up easily, ran rough and the tuner had to work to tune down the injectors as the injectors are 77lbs each. They came from a MPI Starion setup I got off Ebay some time back. Managed to get it running nicely now and just changed the radiator to an aluminum unit customized for the Pajero. Took out the 2 push fans I had in front of the radiator and changed a push fan from the Evolution. On normal local Singapore weather thatÆs either hot and wet or hotter and wetter, I am running about 90 deg C or about 199 deg F in a back to back traffic jam.

Added some bushwacker style oversized fender flares meant for the old Cherokee as they had identical body contours. Here are some pictures. I have a 7ö lift kit meant for the Pajero Gen 1 or 2 with rear leaf springs that I might sell. Gave up on the installation as I just got started due to other commitments. Look out for it soon in the Buy and Sell Section.

Thanks.

I love the leaf spring 4-doors, funny to see a 4-cyl in them when compared to the USDM. The hood you're using is for a turbo diesel?

My MM may benefit from things I see in your pics. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" />

Love it Lester! Great to see you back. Something about those limo 4 door gen I's that makes me want to turn back the clock... esp when properly built like yours. Ditto on the rear bumper. Did you build that yourself or have it made? You may have once said, but it has been a long time...

Yes it is and I am able to get my hands on them for about USD$100 a piece. I have another rolling gen 1 Pajero 4 door leaf spring with the turbo hood. Everything is intact but I am keeping the engine and transmission. Let me get some pics up and if all of you guys do a group buy for stuff that you need from here, you save a little on shipping.

Hi there Recon45. Yes, that A pillar antenna mount is available. The connecting end is for FM use. Why not start a wish list you want from here and I could gather everything and send to someone's address in the US? Shipping might bleed if for large and heavy items like the hood.

Hi Phil

I got that made out of a cardboard mold and matched it up against a 5mm sheet. Took about a week to complete with the side steps and body lift back them almost 8 years ago. i had to cut off about 2 inches of the chassis to bring the rear bumper nearer to the vehicle.

Lester, that's awful nice of you to offer to take the time to do that for us in the States. I'd be happy to be the Southeast U.S. destination and redistribution point. I have space for storage and access to different means of shipping.

Are the rear mounted swing out gas/jerry can holders available over there?

EDIT: And the rear tail light lenses in red, yellow and clear? Those are really neat looking.
