Just installed new water pump, timing belt, valve cover gaskets, plugs and wires. The problem is it now runs like hell if it will start. Tore it back down to check the TB. Its as good as it can get. I noticed that the mitsu service manual lists the coil order "C" 2-5,"B" 4-1, "A" 6-3. The intake manifold lists them as 5-2,1-4,3-6. So which is correct?
The spark plug tube o-ring was gone so my plug tubes were filling with oil and when I took the plugs out some oil dripped into the cylinders. When it initially started,it was smoking like it was getting sea foamed. I had some oil leaking out from around the 02 sensor on the driverside manifold when it started. I checked the plugs once again to see if they were fouled,had a bad connection,whatever. Plugs look ok, A little black but considering the circumstances, ok.
The only code it tripped was a po 500 which is the VSS.That too is strange. Any ideas??
