Four wall are up... I have had some help from a friends son who likes to do framing.

Super nice kid but just a bit too eager. While I was cutting and fitting the top plates he was putting up plywood. I asked if he checked if the wall were square. He said yes they were.

This is an experiance thing. He checked with a level and didnt measure corner to corner. I figured he knew... I also asked that he only tack the panels in until I gave the go ahead and provided a nailing pattern.

After a couple of hours I walk over to his section. Lots of nails and lots of plywood is up and the wall is not square.

I nicely suggest that he remove the 100 or so nails he put in and do it right. With the nails out, I squared the wall and set him loose.

I also told him that if his nail gun continued to overdrive the fasteners, to set it up to underdrive and finish the nails with a hammer.

Again... Minimal number of fasteners... I will go by with my gun later and nail to code.

I come back and a full box of nails is gone and every one is over driven by at least .1". I'm sure the inspector will get a laugh out of this... 20 + sheets of 4' x 9" plywood that are trashed from over driven nails.
