Is there a gasket or o-ring there? Is this a common place for a leak? It is a pretty solid drip when running but not at all if the engine is not running. You seem to indicate your thoughts are it is at or near the filter which is right above this area so you might want to double check for this. L yes, that is an extremely common leak. i just replaced the TWO o-rings that go inside the adapter. i may have just not tightened the nuts down enough as one is extremely difficult to access. So, i bought an 01 Kia Sportage. before i even drove it, i nick-named it The Goat.. it has been just like a goat.. stubbern at every corner... Re: oil leak under pressure. A; there are two bolts holding it to the head, like you said. and B; how the heck do you get this thing outta the head with it in the truck???
