You guys need to chill out. He's obviously made some progress on the rig. Perhap's it's taken some time but so be it.
I recall he was not easily able to get quality photo's or video the last time he was online which is possible since not everyone knows how to handle a camera competently much less take those images/video's and post them online. Heck, I know lots of people like that.
By the same token I also understand where you all are coming from and fortunately VA_Stumpy did a great job of summarizing things w/ minimal emotions in his post.
Liftmaster/Cameron(did I get that right? it's been a while) I hope you can post some better shots or even a video of the lift & also the the Montero in action. Then I hope the discussion be more focused on upgrading rigs.

Maybe I overreacted.
And, of course, another reason there's no aftermarket for Monteros is that the gosh darn things are built pretty darn well from the factory. We don't have to replace tie rod ends, steering linkages, axles and driveshafts with aftermarket.
So, maybe an aftermarket fabber would be best off making parts for the guys that really are used to things breaking on them anyway. In an oversimplified, general sort of blanket statement kind of way.
As a wish list item, a lift of this sort might be nice for some of us. First thing I want to know, though, is: Can I jump it?
Will a trip to Carmichael, CA tell me that, or will it be a static inspection, i.e., does the thing move?

Looks exactly like the picture from last year and (curiously) taken from the exact same angle (where the view of front suspension and steering set-up is obscured) Liftmaster, Good luck with the project. Despite your personal insults, I wish you the best with the rig. See you on the trails.

Despite what anyone else has to say, I would like to see some more photos. I would also like more details on how you addressed the steering, gearing, control arms and drive shaft issues.
Lastly, how do you get into it.

Hey y'all. Well first I am not trying to sell anything like I said earlier. I have been very busy so no time for my own stuff. I think I would chat more if I wasnt beat up evrey time I try to show something. like my Grandpa used to say when he was still around (everybody is a skeptic) When my friends and customers see the monstero they just admire what i have done and not what i haven't. Think about it everytime I am on this site. It feels like i am in 7-11 with my every move being watched.

Lance, no one's beating you up, I think we're too busy arguing amongst ourselves.
This is not really a tough forum, really...If you cant hack it here, you'll have problems dealing with 99% of the internet outside of here. The skepticism stems from the time you came in stating you had "9 complete lift Kits ready to ship for $1900" which turned out to be untrue. Your just a young kid, so I guess its all part of the learning curve.
It sounds like your Montero is a nice showpiece. Cool, but as you can see this forum is more about "go" than "show"..We like things to work as well as look good.
I guess we could all just pretend to love your Montero and praise you and your efforts, and not ask any technical questions, but that's not our style.
Anyways hope you hang around you might learn someting or maybe even teach us something...Have fun with it.
