I have read codes on my ECU using the LED method. It is giving the code for "Throttle Position Sensor / Idle

OK, I'll dive into the dizzy swap when it stops raining. Since I'm feeling less motivated right now, I'll try Metal Mover's ether trick first.


Did you check the other harness connectors under the hood? It may not be a bad idea to open them up, check them and spray some anti-corrosive on them.

Have you tried trying to crank the engine at night? There may be a short at or past the coil. In the dark, you can see the arcing that is difficult to see during daylight.
