It's unfortunate that they are doing away with the Endeavor. The Endeavor was always well received by the critics and always helped Mitsubishi's reputation. Unfortunately it always suffered from poor sales. I am guessing that they are doing away with the Endeavor and keeping the Outlander platform. I am guessing they are also looking for the Lancer Sportback to fill the need for the Endeavor as well. I would bet the Endeavor was killed off in favor of the Outlander because the Outlander was sold around the world, while the Endeavor was sold only in North America. It would have required a lot of R&D to redesign a new Endeavor for just North America.

In a way I see this as a positive thing, because the Mitsubishi Plant in Normal, Illinois will now have free line to produce some Montero's or Triton's. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
