Unless you use a not-so-good filter...like Fram. The anti-drain-back valves are c-r-a-p and allow the oil to all drain back into the oil pan almost immediately. I used to have big-time problems with my 2.6's being oil starved on start-up and taking a bit to reprime the pump and build pressure (not all of it due to the filter, but a better filter did make a difference).
