You may want to carefully check yer wiring to the SRS (Supplemental Restraint System). This wire is all yellow and distinct from all the other wiring in the vehicle.

One place to check would be the clock spring in the steering wheel as it can be easily damaged if someone didn't take care when working on the steering wheel/shaft. Other wiring to check would be the sensors located on the inner wall of the fenders (accessed near the headlights. Do not disconnect the sensors while the battery is hooked up. Do not "shock" the sensors with any physical hits/drops as you can damage the sensors.
