Yep. Slay the fatted calf. There's finally a Montero in the Pull-A-Part yard in Augusta - 89 LS, 3.0.

Thus far, I've relieved that unit of its bouncy seat base, the tailgate and the air cleaner housing.

I'm heading back in a little while to retrieve the bumper pads to repair son #1's truck. I'll be using the tailgate on his truck too. In addition to a little bump-up some time ago where he tapped another vehicle in the rear, he was rear-ended too. This stuff should make him whole again with a bit of work.

Which brings me to my main question: Since I have the V6 air cleaner housing, I'm planning to put it into son #2's turbo truck to replace that beast from the Starion.

The large sensor connector on both units are the same. However, there is another connector (two leads with the terminals set perpendicular to each other) that has no place to reside on the V6 air can housing.

**EDIT**
Upon closer examination, the small connector goes to a separate switch on the Starion air can base. It looks to be removable, so it can be relocated.

Now, the only question is: Are the air metering systems between the that contained in the Starion air can and the Montero air can comparable? As I recall, they are. Can anyone confirm?

**END EDIT**

By the way, if anyone needs anything, I can try to go get it for you. Let me know.

Thanks much, all.
