Background: bought the rig used in 99. Previous owner put an aftermarket viper alarm on it. I used it for a while, but then the remote was stolen so I said screw it.

I had the heater core replaced recently (for the 2nd time in 2 years). The guy must have crossed some wires, because ever since then, when I turn the jeep of, the viper alarm light comes on.

Since I don't drive the thing for weeks at a time, that light being on drains the battery and I have to jump it.

Getting to the point. I jumped it the other day, got it running, and while I was disconnecting the cables from the other truck, I hit the ends together and the jeep instantly turned off. I couldn't get it started again even after another jump. I bought a new battery and installed it, and it still won't start.

I checked all of the fuses and relays, and can't figure out what's wrong. Did I fry something? I pulled a plug wire to see if there is a spark, got none. It's gotta be something with the ignition. Any ideas?
