I was out for a ride with the wife and the kidlet, and as I was tooling down the highway I heard a loud thwap thwap coming from the front left of the truck, the truck wasnt pulling, so I was expecting something wound around a half shaft or the drive shaft.

I look under the truck and the little flappy curtain has torn off of the frame, and is banging into the tire. I yanked the whole thing off and finished the trip.

So, the big question is can the truck life a happy life without it, or should I order up a new one

thoughts?

Body Damage is Cool
Their purpose is to help keep spray out of the engine compartment and give a clean look to the fender well. Mine have been shredded for years.

I replaced mine with pond liner. Key to making it stay on there was to put washers on each side of the holes I made so it wouldnt tear.

Years back I had to make emergency roadside first aid repair with zip ties when my right side wheel well liner crapped the bed.

You got the noise right - Thwap Thwap Thwap !!

Naturally I was 600 miles from home when it happened; at least it was daylight!

Buy an inner tube and some hardware with washers, use artistic license with a box knife. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
