I can't help you w/ the miss; but would be interested in the cause. mine does it occasionally..

As far as the O/D problem, mine did the same thing. Finally traced it back to the O/D solenoid. I found out the cost AFTER the guy ordered the new 1 (almost $400 from Toyota).I believe some of the guys here have some used ones you can purchase.I'd check w/ rxinhed first.Had I known in advance I'd have gotten a used 1 or machined a by-pass plate & eliminated the optional "off" .
