As for obtaining an engine, check your local boneyards for wrecked jeeps. Check AutoParts Wharehouse or othe on-line parts houses for rebuilt crate engines.

I have check the bone yards and they dont have anything that is worth the price they are asking The motor is actually for a co worker of mine and I don't think that he has the money for a new engine but Thanks for the info I will keep checking the boneyards

Try the pick n pull yards , they are a lot cheaper than the ones that pull things and sell it. For example I am picking up a NP242 this weekend , pick n pull wants 100 , the they pull places want 750.So , for a few hours of my time I would rather pay the 100;)

Also , here they sell engines for 200 , but you have to pull it , so if you have a hoist and a friend to help you can have it done fairly easy.You just need to find one that the engine is good but the jeep was trashed and your good to go.

If you go that route, be sure to grab the engine computer and the wiring harness.
