Found the article I was looking for , now to find a kit since everyone that offered them is evidently out of business.

Looks like another junk yard adventure. Since I thankfully don't have ABS I think all I need is a set of Aisin Hubs and a set of cv axles with the correct outer splines to fit those hubs. That's a question.

Am I thinking right here?


I know some of the early Tacos (like 95-97ish?) had manual hubs, but I'm sure they were rare. They were about half the height of the earlier hubs, and the lockout dials were grey. I've seen a few around, but not in a while.

Not that that's much help, but at least they for sure exist.
