Called Marlin, They said that they are not interested in making anything for Mitsubishi's at this time. I emailed Matty and hopefully we'll be able to work together on this and get a world wide group buy for some Marlins. Money talks and i'm sure if Marlin sees a market they will get on board.
If i hear something good back from Matty i might start a new post in all the forums i frequent.

Dang! I guess I'll hold my horses for a tad & wait to see what happens. What does it mean if marlin wants to produce? I'm looking for simplicity. But if marlin can produce something better, why not?

I didn't catch everything & understand it all, but sounds like a better option?

its basically a unit that gives you dual options for the trasnfer case (duel case). You can have your standard low range, ie 1.90 & then you can select the marlin range of 4.70 (or whatever is in there). It means having 2 selectors & a bit of mucking around with linkages etc to get it all working. Gives you heps more options that just than a straight 3.15 gear, but its getting marlin to be interested is the problem & also if there is much interest.

I also emailed Matt but nothing back yet. Could of even gone out of business with the GFC who knows (his website is down as well)

Guys, I spoke to Lee Hardmann today.

He says that they have NIL stock of any of the gears, however they ARE taking orders & are in fact in the process of making up a new stock supply of all 3 sets of gears.

Orders will be taken thru http://www.marks4wd.com/

Who BTW have relocated to the same factory as Hardmann Bros in Melbourne, reason: Mark hardmann has bought out marks4wd.

Lee couldnt advise on this stage if they are going to supply US customers or refer them to their agent , namely Advance Adaptors.

So guys anyone out there wanting a set of gears I suggest you drop an email to marks4wd in melbourne & place an order.

info@marks4wd.com

thats all I can inform you of at the moment.

In regards to the Marlin option, it would be nice but a whole lot more work & at this stage (unless Matt from Monster Rides gets back to us) pie in the sky.

cheers

thats good news and bad news. Bad cause we dont know if Marlin will do this, atleast without a whole lot of work on our end. And good cause they are still making 3.15 gears.

Was price discussed? I guess I can find that out but not sure if you mentioned group buy prices compared to individual prices. I emailed both places last week but havent hear back from either email. You seem to have a connection with them. Would you be so kind to get a few answers for me?

Thanks for info you've supplied so far

He said that pricing was under review, mine cost $1200 but that was 6 years ago. I think I paid about $1350 for the Gen3 set in 2010,

They should be able to give you a price if you make an enquiry

Guess next thing to do is find out exactly what Marlin wants & find out time frame OR I can contact Hardman again & set up an official group buy post for the 3.15 gears

I dont think the Marlin thing will get off the ground, its a fantastic idea but as mentioned above he's not interested.

If you want to organise a single or group buy of the 3.15 which is about the only option available at this time you should email info@marks4wd.com

Lee made it clear to me that all enquiries go thru marks4wd

I've emailed him twice. I'll wait til next week to hear back before I start another post on the group buy with whatever price he'd offer. You know them better since you've given them business in the past, maybe you can round up a better price for us?
