I called and spoke with the guys at Marks 4WD adapters last night and also got confirmation emails from them on my gears being shipped.

FYI... They are off all of next week for Easter so don't expect anything until the week after.

As I mentioned in my Australia trip thread I'd be willing to ring them for you in a couple of weeks to help iron things out. I can confirm that currently the gears are still being cut and definitely not ready to sell yet.

Along those lines I learned from discussions with Frank/MisterBishi that Mark Hardeman (gear cutter) told Frank that the cutting of the gears also requires the shop to heat treat them afterwards in order to increase their strength to acceptable levels. This heat treating results in the metal shrinking. They have to go through numerous R&D gear sets before they can reliably determine the original starting size of the pre-milled metal so the the finished product is the right size every time.

That said, Mark could make bigger R&P gears but we'd have to buy enough to cover the cost of the R&D process. I SERIOUSLY doubt there are enough buyers (probably need well over 100) to make the project cost effective & profitable for him. SIGH... <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />
