Nothing yet. Would like to stir up the pot a little on the other sites, but I'm like the new kid in the school over there for anyone to listen. If others that are regulars there could get some info. Te only other known group to achieve 3.15 gears were the tritons but I don't know any of them or the company that helped set up their group buy

That company that helped them could very well have some left over, but I dot know who to contact. Still wait to hear back from Elliot or mark. Sent 2 emails. I'll post once I hear back

Anyone care to research the Triton group buy or the company that helped them?

I was just thinking about this last night. I've been out of touch with the emails, other sites & marks contacts. If someone has any info about these gears or who has some left, post up. I'll try and get back up to speed on this. Sorry guys

Justice, we are def leaning towards a whole new batch. I'll need to go back and contact the guys at Marks company and tell them what we need to move forward.

On a side note, Rodney at Wholesale Auto Transmission had started a group buy nearly a year ago (a couple months before I had asked about doing a group buy), but Marks company filled this order but never told me that this particular group buy was in motion. Instead to referring me to Rodney's group buy, he told me I'd have to start a new group buy (a little sneaky if you ask me but oh well). Now we are just about where we need to be with our group buy, but I've talked to Rodney via email and tho he hasnt committed to another group buy, its up in the air. If he does, he may be able to include the Triton group and even has the purchase power to buy extra sets and sit on it for a short time, thus making the price for these gears lower due to the quanity purchased.

If I dont hear back from Rodney or if thats something he isnt interested in for now, we can proceed and find out what the price would be for our group. Rodney had the advantage of being able to buy several sets and ship them out from his warehouse, thats where we lack.

I'll find out what options we have, but no worries. If Rodney cant commit then we will proceed with our group buy.

An email I had back in September. That's why I was saying I dropped the ball. Of we can get atleast 10 interested then we can proceed.

This is the email from Elliot at Marks 4WD...

Quote
Hi,
I have finally been given some pricing on the gears.
A quantity of 10 either manual or auto is the minimum û if you want both manual and auto sets you will have to order 10 of each.
á
The price for 10 sets - $1,400.00 AUD each
á
The price for 20 sets - $1,100.00 AUD each
(Can be 10 auto and 10 manual)
á
If you have any further questions donÆt hesitate to contact us.

Then the email from Rodney to possible generate more interest. But from the sounds of it, we'll have to do the leg work ourselves and get on Pajero & Triton sites. But I don't have connections on those sites as a few individuals here that visit & post on those sites often....

Angelo,

If you can a group by of 18 then we will take the order and top it up with
our own numbers to get the order though at the right cost.

There will be a $450 Aus deposit for each unit and a Total cost of $1450
including the deposit plus freight as required.

This will most likely be the last time that we will do this as it is getting
harder each time to convince the powers to be that the orders are worth the
time. We simply don't make anything of these items (I'm talking less than
$50 each).

Kind Regards
Rodney

Where did he buy the used set? I'm shocked someone was selling the gear set.

Thanks for the heads up
