Put a doubler in front of the '92/'93 Montero transfer case, they are a 6 bolt case but the dowel doesn't line up so you need to remove it and drill a hole on the flange. But this doesn't actually work on a gen 2 with a 12v 3.0 because the torsion bar crossmember is in the way so you'd need to swap it onto a 3.5 powered truck and use the tailhousing from a jeep or an earlier montero. See NathanC's post on installing a doubler into a Gen 2, but replace the second NP231 with the early gen 2 super select case. be prepared to cut a new hole for your shifter or modify to use a Delica shifter if possible.
