If you upgrade the tires to 31" or larger, IMHO you are going to need to upgrade your brakes. The 87 has marginal brakes and the taller tires make it a lot worse.

I kind of agree with Kevin, having 32's on the black one.

The silver one has 35's, and has totally spoiled me with Gen 2 disc brakes front and rear. I've got a donor Gen 2 that is going to provide the disc brakes front and rear for the black one. if you can upgrade to the Gen 2 disc brakes on the front, as in the section Grasscat talked about, you will definitely be a happier driver.

Need a Spot
I had, yet no longer have, a link to a post with pics that a guy in Virginia posted showing how he took the mikuni and all of the emission systems out of his Raider and installed a weber 3236. I'm hopeful to do the same, yet a bit different, and can't find the link than showed a boat load of stuff he had removed from his Raider and a shot of the manifold with nothing on it. Was a great shot. Just shocked me to see how much crap was on this thing for emissions.
Anyone have any idea?
Doc
