Thanks Everet - Sounds like I might be able to handle that job. The axle must have been an interesting-looking load on the carrier... More so if you would have strapped a set of antlers w/deer tag to it. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/notooth.gif" alt="" />

I will keep you posted on the decision regarding swapping axles vs. machining the 28 spline shafts to 26 spline specs. If I swap axles, I'm going to be adding to my list of items to sell...

1 OBX helical LSD for the front axle, with new carrier bearings and the "upgrade" case bolts and Belleville washers (all new)...

1 set of '94-'97 drums, pads and hardware (springs, etc, all new)...

1 set of rear axle bearings and seals for the 26 spline axle (i.e. the parts to rebuild both ends of the axle - all new)...

1997 Sportage 4x4, auto-trans, Warn manual hubs, 4" UPYOURKIA front lift, TJ 106AA rear springs, 2-5/8" body lift, 31x10.50 treads, SmittyBilt SRC front and XRC rear bumper, swing-out tire mount, OBX LSD front diff, Track Finder rear locker, 5.38 R&Ps and... really crappy gas mileage! <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/shiner.gif" alt="" />
