I did it so long ago I can't really help you with removal. I know I just learned as I went. I believe you'll need to remove some trim for access and from what I remember it wasn't too bad a job.
Your other option is to silicone seal the glass to the roof.

The sunrrof is held on by I think 4 small screws. They are hidden under those plastic caps (one is in your pic I think). Just be careful to remember there is some small loose rail thingy's... I just found a decent one in the yard to replace mine with this summer. There WAS a mint 98 in the yard recently. I went to basically strip it clean a few weeks ago and it was in the process of being crushed when I got there. I almost cried...It was sitting on top of a huge pile of cars next to the crusher as I was walking back out of the yard ....To late. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />Don't know of any other decent roofs here at present.
