Anyone know the size of the bulbs? I've got a few burned out in my 1995 LS. I've searched through the service manual, but don't see any reference to them at all, searching here returned the same result. Maybe I'm looking for the wrong words, but I can't find anything.

If not, I plan on working on getting them replaced this weekend, but won't have access to another car. If I pull the bezel and bulbs, is it going to hurt anything to drive a couple blocks down the road to the parts store? Not worried about the safety/legality as it's a 35MPH street, and I'll be going less than that with/without the panel installed. Or do I need to at least get all the connectors plugged back in temporarily?

I changed them years ago. Can't recall the whole process but it was easy once the cover came off. I bought replacement bulbs from radio shack. You'll either have to reuse the color covers that go on the originals or replace. Like I said, can't recall the process exactly, did it 6-7 years ago.

There may be a write up some place or someone with the knowledge. I'd like to refresh my memory myself.

Does anyone know how to replace the bulbs behind the ac/heat unit?

Yeah, I found the directions to do it in the FAQ, but it still doesn't bring up the size. I think I'm leaning towards pulling one out, re-assembling just enough to make it drive-able with the gauges working, then going and finding them at either a Radioshack or a parts store.

As for the lights behind the AC/heater, if you do find a source, please let me know as that is one of my next tasks after this and the select-trac blinking.

i dont think your going to find those bulbs very easily...alot of parts stores i tried said they have the correct size only to find out the bulbs dont fit.

My solution after searching was to go to a pick-n-pull and pull as many bulbs out of old monteros i could

also i ran the monty with a couple bulbs out to show the parts store and everything was fine

I got mine at O'Reilly. I think the Sylvania part number is 74. I just asked the counter guy to look it up in their computer. Like others have said it was a little large, but it worked.

I think the 74 is what they tried to give me, but the bulb was too fat to fit back into the little black socket...if you got that too fit thats pretty awesome

Grasscat knows which ones fit. The ones behind the compass however are mitsu only bulbs.

Are those compatiable with the Gen 2? Are those mitsu part #s?
