alrighty, I will list all the symptoms...

when putting it in 5th gear the pajero shakes and also makes a sickening clicking noise.

now when it comes to a complete stop, it locks up, needed 4 low to get going again. not a good sign

I figure something has finally snapped inside?

90 pajero 5 speed 2.5L diesel.
