I have copies of Carmageddon and Carmageddon 2000 that I'd like to play, however...these are Windows 95 and 2000 games, respectively.

Presently, I can only play the sound bites...and this isn't enough. Being that I have Windows 7 on my home machines, what are my options?

Other than trying to run it in "Compatability Mode" not much. Many of the games from that period were video card hardware specific. Might try googling around for a game message board and ask there. There is always some guru who knows all there is to know about a specific game on hardware.

If worse comes to shove, just run VMWARE and run an instance of windows 2000 or 98 on there and play it with the same hardware specs if not better than it originally had... Can't you get those OS for free now?

I am probably going to have to do this, since I just built a new desktop and my NES emulator doesn't seem to like Win 7.

The desktop has a 64-bit CPU with 8GB RAM and a 1.5 TB hard drive. Of that I will be dedicating about 1GB RAM and 8GB hard drive space for the virtual drive to run a 32-bit OS, for the purpose of running games that range in size from 4kB to a max of 1MB and were originally played on an 8-bit CPU with about 16kB RAM. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/lol.gif" alt="" />
