Is there a direct correlation between the dual radiator fans and the A/C on an 88 Raider? My fans are not working. So, should I be concerned when running the A/C? I'm in Texas and need the A/C more often than not! <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/baby.gif" alt="" />

The small electric fan in the front should come on with the AC compressor. Often the brushes wear out. I replaced mine with a generic that I bought from Summit Racing. It was the same sized fan and I modded the original shroud to get it to bolt in.
Also check your evaporator (under the dash). It can get clogged with pet fur and leaves over the years and reduce your AC's output.

When I got the AC up and running in my 4.3 truck, I pulled the evaporator out, and it was filthed up with mud, and dirt, and leaves. It was like a compost pile in there.

The majority of these universal fans have to be wired to your plug. if you are not careful and reverse the wiring, the fan will work ,but turn in the wrong direction and render it useless.
