Also check your evaporator (under the dash). It can get clogged with pet fur and leaves over the years and reduce how well your AC works.

When I got the AC up and running in my 4.3 truck, I pulled the evaporator out, and it was filthed up with mud, and dirt, and leaves. It was like a compost pile in there.


I think mine had too much dog fur to really be an effective composter.
