Ah, I used to love working on a Bug. Two of us did an engine swap in 27min once, without a jack. Picked up the rear end with a pair of 2x4's, set a pile of 2x6 chunks underneath to hold it up, and 4 bolts later (plus a couple of wires and cables and hoses), the blown motor was on the ground. Install went faster.
