The V6 axles will take the weight and torque and i think the springs would do ok as well but don't quote me on that one.

LR, I have a FUSO dealer near me and i could take a Gen 2 T-case front cover down there and see if it mates to any of their transmission tailhousings. The montero case would be better to use if possible because then you could use the stock V6 driveshaft with a 3.5 slip yoke and believe it or not Crawler gears are cheaper for the montero case.
