I learned some about the Africa/Italy campaigns from my step grandfather before he passed but my grandfather on my fathers side never told anyone about what he did before he passed in 1994. He lead a motar squad in the pacific though I don't know what islands he was on he was awarded a purple heart for wounds in combat. I miss both my grandfathers and there wisdom very much... We are losing so many of that generation so quickly.

Though back on topic my heart goes out to you Eddy. Since my step grandfather passed my grandmothers been going down hill. Its hard to lose your soul mate who you've been with most of your life. I can't even imagine it.
