mostly dirt and gravel roads a little mud. I have All Terrain T/A's on now, 31x10.5 R 15LT. I got a flat in one on a trip and America's tire won't fix it, said a chunk was dug out past the steel belt. what about generals or kumho's, are they OK? anybody selling used ones?
thanks!

Hi Mike!
How've you been bud? Grasscat(another Mike) runs a pretty decent set of tires that's also pretty inexpensive. I'm sure he'll chime in shortly or I'll ask him later this evening what brand/model they are.

I've heard nothing but RAVE reviews for Goodyear Duratrac tires, and they are pretty competitively priced, FWIW.
Third times a charm.

After some research, I'm going for the duratrac's with my next tire purchase. See the thread here on Expedition Portal:: http://tinyurl.com/8xbvytc

I would say for light offroading? I have a set of Peerless Widetrack Baja AT I got for a fairly decent deal. Really good offroad, snow, rain... I can't complain about them since they have 80% tread for being almost 4 years old now... <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/cheers.gif" alt="" />

I believe they were Falken Rocky Mountain ATS'. 31x10.5x15 are $138 at your local Discount/America's Tire.
Good year duratrac's are $171/ea Not finding online pricing for the Peerless Widetrack Baja AT's.

pretty good, how are you? I signed my divorce papers last week - finally settled - crazy.
I am PO'd at America's tire. I got a puncture up by Pyramid Lake last fall, they wouldn't fix it. took it to service station today, they put a plug in it for $20, said nothing wrong with the tire, other than getting down on wear.
the darn thing is smoking again, they didn't replace the valve guides last time, so now I have to do the seals and guides over again. well, think I will do it myself this time to make sure its down right.
I wonder if the rope trick will allow me to take out the guides too...

I have some Wild Country XTX 33s All Terrains on my Wrangler. They are one of Cooper Tire's off brand, non-advertising tires so they tend to be pretty cheap (price, if you can find them.) They have done very well for me and were even pretty good in the snow when I lived in OH.
If I can find them here in CA, I plan on getting a set for the Monty.
