I have a 1994 T100 3.0L V6 5 speed manual. I am the origional owner since 1995. I remember being told it had rear ABS. If it does, it has never done anything. I drive on snow pack 8 months of each year. Stomp on the brake and it locks up. No feel of modulation in any form.

Never found these things to be worth anywhere near what they cost on a new vehicle. Our Subarus have anti lock and they work. I test them now and then to feel if the are operations. They always pass the test. However in my day to day driving on snow pack winter conditions they never activate. People need to practice a bit and they won't need them.

On a truck with a manual transmission the wheels are always connected to the motor. The only way to lock the rear would be to apply enough brake force to shut off the engine. The engine is more then enough of an anti lock system. Not likely for one side only to lock up.

I really think ABS is a lot of hype which does not live up to it's expectation. If your system involves the differential and you can only find a unit which does not have ABS. I would go for it. To me the T100 rear ABS is about as useless as the front ADD stuff which doesn't unlock when I need it to.
