Getting the Wheeling Fever
My 91 truck. After my truck sits overnight the high beam does not work. Only after warming up 15 min or so does the high beam for the head light start to work. I think there is a relay in the fuse box under he hood. Is there another relay elseware that might be acting up? Thx

Check the 'sticky' threads at the top of this board for the FSMs. Should be a wiring diagram in there somewhere.

No relay for the high beams, likely just dirty contacts on the headlight combo switch:

The relay under the hood just supplies power for the headlights, low and high beams.

Getting the Wheeling Fever
I have cleaned the flip / dimmer & signal light / column switch behind the steering wheel. I had gotten one from PnP expecting my contacts to be dirty. I dragged some sand paper though the contacts + filed them. I was carefull when I put it back together. So fairly sure that it can't be that switch. On the canadian pages in the posted link I "think" see a headlight dimmer switch relay under the hood. Working nights now so I will check it out tomorrow.

If you have the DRLs, there is a dimmer relay that is used as part of the DRL system:

As I understand it, there is a big power resistor that is in-line with the headlights during daytime operation then when you actually turn on the lights, that relay turns on and shorts out the resistor (bypassing it) to give you full brightness on the headlights. That should be the separate from high or low beam operation. But I'm not at all familiar with the Canadian headlight wiring setup, especially on the early '90s models.

Body Damage is Cool
yep you are correct , "back in the day" there was a Canadian recall for DRL , and a headlamp reduction wire was installed at the dealer .. recall might sitll be online somewhere . I believe it was a voltage reduction wire .. but just going by memory
