yea i was think about that after i posted and was looking noticed they were not evenly done so i thought that it might have been done to balance. i never new these motor ate up bearings like that. all three block i have have toasted bearings witch is not a bad thing per-say becuse all the cranks look really good. no real damage. i would say that whom ever was driveing this new what to listen for and pulled them right away. aallthough the long block i know why the bearings went. the balance shaft went from the look of the guide rail not sure i know the top shaft moves when pulled but it does not wiggle that i noticed.
these motors are kinda wired to me the way you have the balance shaft. one off the oil pump and then that top one. weird is all i can say. iam going to assume witch is not always a good thing. that who ever drove these motors was pushing a lot of psi through there turbo at creating a big load on the bearings seeing how its mainly the rod bearings that are toasted. but hey just a thought.
funny thing the to short blocks had the oil pump with the pick up coming off the pump and running to the oil pan the long blcok and the right type of oil pump useing the passage in the block. bummer. becuse the two oil pump that i cant use look almost new.
so i need some rings, not sure what crank i will use that will determine if i need over sized or not.new oil pump, and a complete gasket kit with the t head gasket.
out of the 4 heads i have two are good for sure the other two i will have to get tested looks like there mite be some hire line cracks or the start of one in 2 and 3 between the valves
