Man trans was avail in the gen 2's in the US. I've seen them but they're rare.


That's correct :-
Gen 1 V6 had the V5MT1 5sp
Gen 1 V6 had the V4AW2 auto
Gen 1 2.6 had the KM145 5sp
Gen 1 2.6 had the KM148 auto

It gets tricky for the later model Gen 1 here in Oz as there was some mixing of 5sp boxes (no autos for the diesels) and indeed rear diffs. There was a V5M21 5sp used around 89/90 for both the 2.6 petrol & 2.5 diesels. We have also seen both 8" and 9" rear diffs in Gen 1 2.5 diesels as well.
