I have a 1987 dodge raider with a 2.6 manual. Everytime I try to go up an incline it heitates worst and worst, ill end up crawling up a hill in second. I also get a crazy ticking noise coming from the tranny or transfer case area. It only does it on long up hill stretches, never flat or down hill, and usually not on short up hills.
Its got a rebuilt carb, new spark plugs, wires are pretty new, newer o2 sensor, cat and no vaccume leaks. Curious if this issue could have something to do with vaccum advance on dist. Let me know really want to be able too drive thing everywhere. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/scared.gif" alt="" /> [color:"white"] [/color]
